Following the detection of vaccine-derived poliovirus in the sewage system in Hyderabad, a vaccination campaign has been held to boost immunity and prevent a poliovirus outbreak.
On 20 June, a campaign using fractional dose intradermal inactivated polio vaccine (IPV) began in Hyderabad, India, led by the State Government and the Ministry of Health and supported by partners including WHO and UNICEF.
